India week two

So India, we are now in Shillong in the North East states. So far much easier than Delhi expect for the staring, they don't see many white folk in these parts especially with blue eyes. We are staying at a guest house run by a really nice family whose cooking is amazing! Seriously. We also found out that there is a team from YWAM Madison here in the city doing an outreach, I hope we can find the other white people soon.
It is hard to describe the scene, a good word for it is chaos. So many sounds. Horns honking all the time which makes me feel like I am always about to get hit. We eat rice at every meal which I am getting more use to. This region has a lot of Chinese influence so that means less curry which I like.
Each morning we go up on our roof and have our quiet times because it is the warmest place. This morning a bird pooped on me. Ha. But as much many things here are hard and different I haven't seen a cockroach which I am ever thankful for. I hate them more than almost anything and they make me gag- ha kind of like chai. Why did I pick India?
One last thing is that I am in an internet cafe and they keep playing a song by Joshua Radin called "everything is gonna be alright." Thank you Jesus.
